On September 22, 1887, Felix Christian Herbert Iversen was born in Lübeck (Germany). A student of Lindelöf, he worked mainly in complex analysis and obtained interesting results on boundary properties of analytic functions. He was a professor of mathematics at the University of Helsinki. He was awarded the Stalin Peace Prize in 1954. Iversen died on July 31, 1973, in Helsinki (Finland).
