This Russian coin was issued in 2000 in occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sofia Kovalevskaya. Its back shows a portrait with the name in Cyrillic script together with the years of birth 1850 and death 1891, a rose, a set square, compasses and written pages, figures of the planet Saturn and of buildings. The nominal value of this coin is 2 Rubles (RUB).

This coin from 1992 was issued in Russia in occasion of the 200th anniversary of birth of the mathematician Nicolai I. Lobachevski.
