On August 15, 1892, Louis de Broglie was born in Dieppe (France). He was one of the most important physicists of the twentieth century. In 1929, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics. With his differential equations for describing the behaviour of electrons, he inspired Erwin Schrödinger to devise his famous equation. De Broglie died on March 19, 1987, in Louveciennes (France).
